MOS Burger has distinguished itself in Singapore's competitive burger landscape by introducing Japanese precision and innovation to the humble hamburger, creating a unique fast-food experience that prioritizes quality over speed. Since establishing its first Singapore outlet at Isetan Orchard Road in 1993, MOS Burger has grown to become the premium burger choice for discerning diners seeking alternatives to traditional fast food.
The menu showcases distinctly Japanese approaches to burger crafting, featuring revolutionary rice bun burgers that replace conventional bread with pressed rice patties, teriyaki-glazed creations that highlight umami-rich flavors, and premium Wagyu series burgers that elevate fast food to gourmet status. Each burger is prepared fresh upon order, ensuring optimal flavor and texture that mass-production methods cannot achieve.
MOS Burger's commitment to pork-free ingredients, while not halal-certified, demonstrates respect for Singapore's diverse dietary requirements. The extensive network of outlets across major shopping centers like VivoCity, Jewel Changi Airport, and neighborhood locations ensures accessibility without compromising quality. Whether you're exploring the innovative rice burger concept, savoring teriyaki chicken perfection, or indulging in premium Wagyu beef, MOS Burger delivers a distinctly Japanese fast-food experience that challenges conventional burger expectations while maintaining the convenience modern diners demand.

(+) Food is good.
(+) Price is reasonable.
(-) It's really not worth paying extra for the long beans – the serving is literally just two strands.
(-) The queue system is so chaotic I ended up queueing twice.
(-) Service is slow.
(-) It's a typical food court, so it's a little noisy during peak hours.

Recently, I took my wife and kids to have dinner at Pepper Lunch, and the experience turned quite sour.
First and foremost, the food quality seems to have degraded over the years, as has the portion size. It doesn't justify the prices of the items.
Secondly, the server who attended to us was extremely rude. For some reason, he raised his voice loud enough for other diners to stare at us, and it was an embarrassing moment to be put under the spotlight like that. We had only brought our own unopened drinks inside, and it felt as if he was directly scolding my wife as she was merely putting the outside drinks into our plastic bags for safekeeping. It completely ruined the moment for our family.
This male server wore a cap, with thin black-frame glasses and a mixture of whitish-greyish strands of hair on the sides; he looked to be in his late fifties.
There were also two female customers who were unfamiliar with Pepper Lunch and weren't aware that there was a queue. He simply raised his voice rudely to inform them that there was a queue and to go to the back. The two female customers looked very shocked from the interaction, and his tone wasn't very nice.

We used to love eating at this Pepper Lunch place, but after our recent visit, we were disappointed with the steak bites we usually ordered. The meat was much tougher than before, and even though the price is slightly cheaper now, we don't think we'll be coming back to this stall much. After all, we don't mind paying a bit more for a better meal. We hope that the next time we visit, the meal will be better.

Elaine took away what seemed to her like a finished plate, which I don't disagree with. However, I was actually not finished eating my meal. Elaine had no decency or common sense to ask if I was done with my meal and simply took it away from me. I have worked in F&B before, and it is absolutely rude and unacceptable to either interrupt customers when they are in the midst of eating or to clear the table without the customer's permission. I paid for the meal, so I want to finish every bit of it. Why did Elaine have no common sense to ask me before clearing my table? If Elaine is not to be blamed, then why is she only taught to clear tables but not taught to ask customers if they're ready for their tables to be cleared? Mind you, it was not even closing time.

Worst experience ever. Surprised it's still surviving. This is food according to the Singapore franchise model. Beautiful set-up in an air-conditioned food court, beautiful photography – that's all that's positive. Food cooked by grumpy staff; you should pay $10 if you want to induce vomiting or destroy your digestive tract.

Before shopping, I had lunch at Food Junction, located on the 4th Floor of NEX Serangoon Central. It's conveniently accessible by public transportation and Serangoon MRT.
I enjoyed the Salmon & Chicken Combo at Pepper Lunch Express with honey brown sauce (蜜汁甜酱), a bit of garlic soy sauce (蒜香酱油). The delicious savory flavors were enhanced when I mixed in the ingredients. It was very tasty and flavorful! Yummy! ☘️
The atmosphere had good ambience, cleanliness, and was spacious.

I ordered the curry chicken pepper rice with cheese, and it was good. It looked fancy with the sizzling presentation and tasted great. The only issue was that the quantity wasn’t quite sufficient for me.

The salmon and chicken combo was tasty. The chicken was tender, and the salmon had good flavour, though the slice was a bit thin. I appreciated the addition of sliced cabbage and sweet corn, which made it a balanced meal.

I came here to leave a good review because I was enjoying my time here during my first visit. I was surprised to read all the bad reviews, probably because they were from peak hours. I was here during off-peak and enjoyed the service. I originally wasn't intending to eat here, but the auntie stationed at the self-serve kiosks was too good at promoting and upselling, lol.
I spent $22 here and had the jumbo salmon pepper rice set with added cheese and edamame. I think the Pepper Lunch in this location is trying to shed its budget restaurant image and offer more premium options. The salmon was surprisingly fresh and flavourful. The decor was nice and modern. It seemed like the staff enjoy working here too, as they joked with each other during periods with fewer customers. The staff were also helpful with good service; one staff member saw me walking to return my tray and took it from me.
Not cheap, but I'll be coming back. At least the quality and value are better than some of the other Japanese restaurants in Nex, like that one Japanese restaurant directly above on the same floor...
