I ordered a Black Forest cake on December 19th from POLAR Cakes @ Junction 8 Bishan. It was the worst Black Forest cake I have ever tasted. I was totally disappointed and it's not worth trying.

Once an all-time old-school favourite, sadly it has been reduced due to cost-cutting measures. The cakes don’t taste the same anymore; they have an artificial flavour. Standards are also inconsistent, as seen in the difference in sizes of two sugar rolls. I found that amusing when I opened my box. Sadly, it's no longer a decent tea-time snack. You can taste the cheaper ingredients used.

I used to love the chicken pie and curry puffs, but the prices have gone up quite a bit in the last few years. The filling also seems to have decreased. The puff seems quite empty with a small amount of curry potato paste, and there are no signs of chicken meat.

I just ordered a puff and paid, then left. After only 5 seconds, I came back to change one of the puffs, but unfortunately, it wasn't allowed. I spoke to Auntie, and I can't blame her as it was the young lady with the specs' decision not to change it! I understand it's food, and if it weren't for my mom's favorite puffs, I wouldn't have bought this! This young lady was rude initially; she took my order and left without letting me finish talking, and then Auntie came to take my other order! How could you hire someone with this kind of customer service? I don't owe you anything; I was just asking to change one puff for another. It doesn't even change anything! BAD SERVICE! There's this guy I like the most as he is very patient and friendly. You should have him here all the time!!

The chicken pie is too expensive at $3 a piece. Also, the fillings are too dried up. Most probably prepared too early and kept for too long.

We love to buy our pastries from Polar. Their curry puffs, chicken pies, and tuna puffs are all crispy on the outside and tender inside. The staff are thoughtful.

Bought a delicious, soft & fluffy Butter Cake for my husband to share with his colleagues at the office. I also got Polar Curry Puffs for ourselves. Polar Puffs & Cakes is located at Junction 8 mall, 9 Bishan Place, #B1-K2, Singapore 579837. I've been eating Polar Puffs' cake rolls and curry puffs since the 1970s. It's one of my favourite cake shops in Singapore.

A really good place with a wide variety of cakes and puffs. I feel this is one of the biggest outlets available in this area (another outlet is @NEX). They also have one of the best customer service; they are really quick to process your order and are willing to listen carefully. Kudos!
