I've always thought that the staff at Stuff D's Hougang Mall (outside) outlet deserve a higher salary. Compared to other Stuff D outlets located inside shopping malls with air conditioning, the staff at Hougang Mall (outside) have to endure the usually humid and hot weather.
When I arrived at Stuff D at 11:40 am, I was shocked to find that many ingredients were not yet ready. Before you think I'm entitled, the opening time is 10:30 am. Even with unforeseen circumstances, an hour later would be 11:30 am. I was really disappointed as I had made special arrangements to go there after my gym workout, as gym food options were scarce in the area.
What happened today is not a first. Many times, the chicken (I guess it's the best seller since the slab of meat seen at the outlet is chicken) was not ready even at 11:00 am or 11:15 am. Today, even more common ingredients like broccoli, eggs, and many other items were missing, as seen in the picture.
The 'opening time' has gone from late to later, and the business is definitely losing customers before 12 pm (10:30 am to 12 pm). With the KFC located just next door recently closing down (March 10, 2025), I hope complacency doesn't get the better of the boss or the staff at Stuff D at Hougang Mall.

Normally the food is good, but whenever this old Indian uncle is tasked with scooping the chicken, he always scoops very little. I remember vividly three times when my kebab weighed 230g when the estimate was 280g. It's better to hope you don't get him serving your chicken.

I just ordered from the shop. The plus-size lady at the cashier was constantly using her phone. While I was waiting to pay, I had to wait for her to finish texting before she processed my payment. After I tapped my card, she immediately picked up her phone to reply to a message again, and I had to wait for her to finish before she passed me my food. I went around to buy some stuff and walking back, I saw her leaning on the wall texting while a customer was calling for her, and she didn't answer. The portion size is also terrible. I ordered two servings of broccoli and only got four pieces, hahaha. Probably the saddest serving I've ever had. I will never be visiting this outlet again and highly do not recommend this place.
