This L size has a very small portion, omg, it's not even enough for my dog! The vegetables are also a bit salty. I've read reviews where many people have complained about this already, have they never improved? And the aircon in this place is not cool at all! It's very hot! Please fix the aircon quickly. Terrible.

As a usual patron at this branch, I'm disappointed with today's food portion. The meat portions usually cover the entire surface of the rice bowl, but today it only covered the middle. I also received a small portion of uncooked rice in my serving.

Sukiya is a Japanese fast-food chain, not a Japanese restaurant. That's why the food is cheap but not nice. The food was served fast, but it wasn't hot at all; it seemed microwaved. I ordered the gyudon with a half-boiled egg set, large, for $5.80 at that time. The beef strips were thin and didn't taste fresh; they were clearly low-quality. The sauce on it was merely a cover-up to mask the unfreshness of the beef. The half-boiled egg was not cooked properly; it was far from perfectly cooked. The egg white was raw, and the egg yolk tasted raw. There was no sweetness coming from the runny egg yolk. The proteins all tasted raw. The rice didn't taste like Japanese rice at all. I would not return and would rather pay a higher price to eat premium quality or delicious Japanese food in Singapore.

I used to be a regular customer at Sukiya. Unfortunately, my recent visit to the Century Square outlet was extremely disappointing and unpleasant. While we were in the process of ordering on the Sukiya web platform, a staff member abruptly climbed onto the seats right next to our table. She had taken off her shoes, revealing her socks, and was standing on the seats to access the wall cabinet in front of us. This was incredibly off-putting. The worst part was the strong, foul smell that accompanied her actions, which was absolutely disgusting, especially since we were about to eat. It's a fundamental expectation for a dining establishment to maintain basic hygiene and a pleasant environment for its customers. This incident showed a complete disregard for customer comfort and sanitary practices. Adding to the unpleasant experience, I've noticed a significant increase in prices. More importantly, the quality of the food is seemingly inconsistent. It no longer tastes as good as it used to, which makes the price hike even harder to justify. Sukiya, you need to seriously re-evaluate your standards. The poor hygiene demonstrated by your staff and the decline in food quality will surely drive away your loyal customers. I hope this feedback is taken seriously, and I hope your future customers will have a better dining experience than us.

We are regular patrons of Sukiya and have generally enjoyed our visits. However, we would like to raise a concern regarding the conduct of one of your staff members (Amirah). On multiple occasions, including our most recent visit, we observed behavior that we felt was unwelcoming and inconsistent with the standards of hospitality we’ve come to expect.
While waiting in line to be seated, instead of approaching us courteously and guiding us to our table, she called out from a distance, “Table for two?” in a manner that felt abrupt and dismissive. Her tone and facial expression conveyed a lack of warmth, which left us feeling uncomfortable. This was not an isolated incident—we’ve noticed similar behavior from her during previous visits.
We hope this feedback is taken constructively, as we truly value Sukiya and wish to see the service reflect the quality of the food and overall experience.
