The service had a bad attitude, and the food served was not hygienic. I saw the person preparing it using their bare hands without gloves, and the same hands for collecting notes. Please reconsider.

You can't miss this stall as it's located at the entrance of the food court. The food display is beautiful, and the prices are reasonable. I ordered the seafood fried udon. Unfortunately, it lacked wok hei and was a bit too sweet for my liking. The taste was hard to pinpoint – a cross between Hong Kong mee and char kway teow. The portion is adequate for $6.90, and the saving grace was that the two prawns were fresh. I also ate some tiny bits of squid. The free soup came as a pleasant surprise and helped to balance the sweetness of the udon.

Had the claypot laksa and it was the worst I've had. Presentation was 10/10 but the taste was 0/10.
Had the claypot laksa and it was the worst I've ever tasted. The presentation was 10/10, but the taste was 0/10. The laksa gravy tasted so bland and lacked any hint of hae bee (shrimp taste). The fried noodles had no wok hei, and the sauce was too sweet.

Oh my... It's been ages since I've reviewed any food establishments, especially within my work vicinity. When this one popped up, I had to try it, of course.
Ambience: Well, it is a kopitiam type of establishment after all, and this stall is just one of the stalls there. The male staff that served us that day was a delight. Helpful and courteous, always smiling while serving customers. Major points there.
Now, the food. I had Kway Teow Beef and my buddy had Mee Goreng Kampung style. Well, how do I put this lightly? It really lacks punch. That's the best I can describe it. I'm not sure, maybe not enough soy sauce? I really am not sure. For the Mee Goreng Kampung, I had a taste and as my friend described it, "Ok ah." That says it all.
Would I try it again? Sure, just for the benefit of the doubt. By then, I do hope they would get better, as it would be such a waste if it doesn't work out.

New halal-certified stall at the food court of Hougang Mall. Service is quite fast. Fried rice or noodles come with a complimentary soup. The sambal belachan is quite nice. Tried their chicken fried rice; it was not too bad, but it did make me thirsty. Reasonably priced and quite popular with the diners.

A very prominent food stall at this newly opened food court at Hougang Mall. They mainly offer all the zi-char cuisines, from single meals to family dishes.
During my first time trying their food, the cashier made a mistake with my order, even though I had already paid via PayNow. I informed them after about 3 minutes. They apologized, amended the order, and immediately refunded a dollar coin. Their service attitude was very good, making my order worthwhile if their food is delicious.
Finally, I ordered one of my favorite dishes, which I haven't tasted in a long time ~ Malay Mee Goreng. Yes, it was good and delicious. Some might say it was too sweet, but honestly, it would be too much if the Mee Goreng turned out to be too spicy.
The ingredients used, like the prawns and sotong, were fresh and didn't taste like frozen seafood. Overall, it was very well cooked. I will definitely recommend it to everyone. Even though their unit price was slightly more expensive than usual coffeeshops, this stall is located in a newly air-conditioned food court that is clean and tidy. So, the higher pricing is somewhat reasonable.
