The chicken served at Texas seemed shrunken. The new Garlic Chili Lime chicken was disappointing. As seen, it's only powder sprinkled on top of the chicken. This is unlike the previous Hebi Hiam and other flavors they've done before. This garlic chicken probably uses the original recipe and adds its own flavor powder. The price point is not worth it for the flavor.

The Lunar New Year period brings the perfect premise for our local fast food chains to put their own spin on LNY festive snacks. Case in point, we have KFC and Texas rolling out cereal chicken. Now, I've tried the KFC version and found it pretty palatable, so it's Texas's turn now. Sadly, the cereal was a tad too sweet, lacked the punch of curry leaves, and was clumpy and moist instead of dry and sand-like. I was pretty disappointed actually, as I remember when I had it last year it was actually pretty good. But this time round, I can't recommend this over the Colonel's. I do like the popcorn chicken though; the chicken was tender and moist, and there was a good amount too. Pity about the cereal.

September 3rd - 6:30pm. I was trying to place an order at the kiosk machine, but it was unable to process our order due to system issues. We then went to the cashier and were served by a young Indian lady (unsure if she was the manager or supervisor). She was very rude and raised her voice at us. Everyone was looking at us, making us feel foolish. We were definitely paying for our meal and did not expect this kind of service. Very disappointed!!!

I used to love their butter biscuits, but the quality has gone down significantly over the years. They are no longer sweet or buttery enough. On my last visit, I tried their squid and prawn burger. It was in the news some time ago regarding the size of the patty, and as you can see from the second photo in my review, the patty size is quite pathetic. The sauce was also too spicy for me, but that's a personal preference. However, it would be good if the details mentioned that the burger sauce is rather spicy. The fried prawns were okay, and their spicy tenders are better than their original counterpart.

I was there a short while ago, and the staff on duty (first pic) was shouting at an elderly Chinese man when he told her that the kiosk was not working. She continued being rude until he told her not to speak to customers that way, but she continued to shout the numbers for other customers in an angry and frustrated tone.
This same staff then called out my number, but gave me the wrong tray. I realised it was not the right order and went back to return it and collect the correct tray, but the other staff (second photo) also started shouting at me, asking why I took the wrong tray. The entire time I was eating at Texas Nex, both staff were yelling at the top of their voices in an angry tone, ruining everyone’s dining experience. Most people seated at the tables were also feeling frustrated, and some had even shared that they were also spoken to very rudely by the staff.
Please either send your staff for customer service training, hire more staff so they don’t throw their frustrations on customers, or reconsider their employment. Your customers pay for their food and do not deserve this kind of disrespect.

It's been a long time (years) since I've visited a Texas Chicken. The setup is really no different from any other fast food joint. But the chicken is great. I had the yuzu chicken, which was really nice and crispy. It had a pleasant initial hit of yuzu flavour, though it was slightly overpowered by the chilli flavour later. Overall, I was delighted.

Chanced upon a burger meal promo during my second visit and the food was delicious. The two-piece chicken set is highly recommended as well. The Malay female staff is genuinely friendly and neighbourly, which adds to the overall positive experience. There is also a corner to rinse your hands so you don’t have to go shopping with discomfort.

Had dinner here.
I've been craving fried chicken and wanted to try Texas Fried Chicken for some time, but hadn't had the chance. Many times I wanted to eat this fried chicken at Seletar Mall, but my family always diverted me to other food .
Happened that I was at NEX and there were seats inside the restaurant, so I went in to place my order.
Ordered a 3-piece chicken and a burger.
The chicken is crispy outside and juicy inside. The burger is good.
Comparing their fried chicken with other popular ones, I think this one can match or even slightly surpass some. Will definitely eat again when I have the chance.
Can try.

My 5-year-old son is a fan of Texas Chicken. He only wants to eat here when he craves fried chicken. The staff are very friendly, especially the Malay aunty at the order counter.

A delightful afternoon treat at Texas Chicken @ NEX mall level 4.
The butter biscuits are wonderfull
A delightful afternoon treat at Texas Chicken @ NEX mall, level 4. The butter biscuits are wonderfully fragrant and rich, with just the right touch of saltiness to make them irresistibly appetizing. Pairing them with a super value $1.50 Häagen-Dazs mini tub was the perfect finish—cold, creamy, and indulgent. A simple yet satisfying snack combo that hits the spot.
