I was planning to find somewhere to sit down and work for a while, so I chose this place. I noticed most people were also using laptops. However, after I ordered and opened my laptop, I was suddenly told it wasn't allowed and others were warned too. I seriously think they should advise customers when purchasing, as the Starbucks downstairs allows laptops, which makes consumers confused. The packaging for the drinks was also bad.

What makes it worse
The ice vanilla latte tasted horrible at this outlet! Compared to other outlets... What made it worse was that I felt I was working here. I was clearing the tray with some coffee mugs and plates left by a previous diner. When I returned the tray, I was met by a staff member with a poor attitude who rudely commanded me to put the tray at the other corner, instead of just taking it back. I don't understand, what's so difficult about accepting a returned tray? Especially since there were no customers ordering at that time. Unbelievable, I could not believe what I heard. I shall not patronize this outlet again...

I bought a large Hazelnut Latte to drink in, instead of take away. However, I was served in a takeaway cup and told that large lattes are only served in takeaway cups. I was surprised that an established company like Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf does not have a proper cup to serve their customers for a large latte. If that is the case, then the decent thing to do would be to ask the customer's preference first.

It's absolutely unhealthy to consume this chain's offerings. I tried it for the first time with my normally extremely sugar-friendly kids. But even they mentioned that the cookies and muffins are just overdosed. The pricing is obscene, even for Singaporean conditions. I realized too late that this brand comes from the US and therefore has US taste preferences.

Delicious coffee and good tea as well, especially the jasmine green tea. Comfy table seatings, but a bit tiny. Staff were helpful and friendly, and the cafe is halal certified. Also a nice selection of cakes and biscuits etc. to accompany drinks. Also nice ice-blended cold drinks with fruity flavours. A bit pricey as usual, but good for a rest stop!
