The food here is so-so. The portions are quite small, and the taste is the same as any other Soup Spoon outlet. I ordered their "burger" and soup combo, which was quite expensive at around $16. The restaurant itself is small but pretty nice and cozy, located near the entrance. Overall, 3 stars.

If you have ever eaten Hainanese curry rice or nasi kandar, the soups sort of give you the same vibe – messy and ugly looking, but delicious in taste! It's the definition of "japalang" comfort food. I liked their broccoli miso; it was very hearty, albeit on the salty side. The chicken stew had a clear broth and lots of ingredients, too. The adults enjoyed the red rice, but my grands had a hard time chewing them. The olive bits buns were dried out inside, although they seemed soft to the touch. This will not be a daily fare for us, but they do make a substantial, heartwarming meal on a cold day or night.

So disappointed with the portion, especially the sides, when I paid extra fees for them. Pathetic pieces of pineapple that I topped up for. A blob of hummus that's barely more than a tablespoon, and three lumpy baby corns. All this cost $16! Very sad. Perhaps it was peak lunchtime; utensils were not replenished promptly.

I found pubic hair in my soup. Immediately, I lost my appetite. There was also some plastic inside my other soup. This is disappointing and disgusting. I will never order from them again.

Honestly, following my positive experience at another Soup Spoon outlet, I was thoroughly disappointed. This is not pot pie; it's puff pastry atop a bowl of soup, making it very difficult to eat. Even though the mushroom soup was nice, I decided to try their dessert, the mochi brownie with black forest sauce. Their dessert was not even heated through; the mochi was still hard at the bottom, and the brownie was at a weird temperature. It almost seems like the service staff don't know the standards. Very disappointing.

Please train your staff to smile, to fill the drinks to the brim, and to avoid sweeping the floor near customers who are still eating. Many Soup Spoon outlets have staff who seem grumpy, but last I checked, your part-time hourly rate is quite decent. So, I'm not sure why your staff don't seem happy working there.

Update on 06 Nov: I tried the Spicy Chicken Quesadilla at The Soup Spoon, and it was fantastic! The quesadilla had a perfectly crispy shell that added a nice crunch to each bite. The chicken was well-seasoned with a subtle spice that wasn’t overwhelming but had just enough kick. The salsa on the side was fresh and flavorful, adding a delicious tanginess that complemented the dish really well. Overall, a tasty and satisfying choice for a quick meal! The Mala Kimchi soup was well-balanced, with the right level of spiciness and tanginess. The portion size was generous, and the price felt reasonable for the quality. Service was quick, making it a great spot for a fast yet satisfying meal.

Halal-certified. I've been a loyal Soup Spoon customer for years, and I'm happy that my favourite soup (Tangy Tomato Basil) has remained consistent in taste. The portion has gotten smaller, but I suppose they need to find a way to maintain the price while retaining food quality. The machine takes your order, and the staff will call your number when your food is ready. They no longer deliver food to your table. There are only two staff members managing the entire restaurant, and I have to commend them for running such a tight ship. They were efficient and polite. I wish they were more smiley, but I guess they were too stressed as it was peak hour when I visited.

Chicken & mushroom ragout is my all-time comfort food on rainy or sick days. However, the soup is sometimes served lukewarm. They do heat it up upon request, which enhances the flavour much more.

A very nice and quiet ambience amidst the bustle of Velocity during lunchtime. I had the daily saver meal for just $8.90 and it was really so satisfying. The sandwich here was especially nice; I had a better impression of this than the one I had at Raffles City. However, for the soup, I prefer the Tomato Basil over the Minestrone. Overall, a good meal.
