Koufu stands as one of Singapore's most established and extensive food court operators, managing over 70 outlets across the island that transform traditional hawker culture into modern, comfortable dining environments. As part of a company that operates 180 outlets of coffee shops and food courts with 12 distinct brands in Singapore and internationally, Koufu has become an integral part of Singapore's accessible dining landscape.
The food courts feature diverse dining options with carefully selected stalls, several of which provide halal-certified meals to cater to Muslim diners and Singapore's multicultural community. While not all stalls within Koufu outlets are halal-certified, the food courts clearly identify halal options, such as the Rasa Seafood and Yong Tau Foo stalls at Jurong West, and Ban Mian & Fish Soup and Chicken Rice stalls at White Sands Pasir Ris.
Koufu operates various food court concepts including Fork & Spoon (their dedicated halal food court), The Gallerie, 1983, and Happy Hawkers, with locations spanning from neighborhood estates to major medical facilities like Singapore General Hospital and Sengkang General Hospital, shopping centers like Thomson Plaza and Velocity at Novena Square, and business districts like Fusionopolis. This extensive network ensures that quality, affordable food court dining with halal options remains accessible to communities throughout Singapore, maintaining the convenience and diversity that defines Singapore's vibrant food court culture.

I asked to have sauce added, but he immediately said it couldn't be done and charged me $7.10! The fried squid was plain, as if they just put batter on it and fried it without any seasonings. It was expensive for poor taste and terribly rude service; I will never eat at any Koufu outlet ever again and will definitely tell everyone to boycott them

Very hard to find seats on Sunday. By 12pm, almost the whole food court was occupied by foreign workers. I ordered Saba from the Japanese stall, but I believe they pre-cooked and heated it up again because the dish was served in less than a minute. It wasn't even sizzling, the skin was gone, not crispy, and there wasn't enough sauce, making it a bit tasteless. The service also felt insincere.

Food: Whatever you do, never patronize the chicken rice stall. The rice tastes like nasi lemak rice instead of authentic chicken rice (if you know what I mean), and the chicken is served cold in a small portion. On the other hand, the bak kut teh was good and I would definitely recommend you try it.
Service: The food was generally served quickly and was reasonably priced. (JUST DO NOT GO TO THE CHICKEN RICE STALL!!!)
Atmosphere: It won't be crowded if you go early, and there are usually plenty of seats.

The Teh Peng (iced tea) was so bad – diluted and sour. I had to throw away the whole cup after two sips. Dine-in drinks were served in a single-use plastic container. This doesn't justify the $2.70, and the container isn't an environmentally friendly option for non-takeaway consumption.

Do not order the fried fish soup bee hoon. The fried fish only had 4-5 small pieces, not like the photo. And it was $6. Not worth it!

Cookhouse by Koufu at Novena Square offers a modern and well-organized food court experience with a pleasant layout and inviting ambience. The space is bright, clean, and well-ventilated, making it a comfortable place to dine, whether you're stopping by for a quick bite or a relaxed meal.
The variety of food options is impressive, covering local favorites, Asian cuisine, and Western choices, ensuring there’s something for everyone. The seating is spacious and well-arranged, so even during peak hours, it doesn’t feel too cramped. The overall design gives it a more premium feel compared to standard food courts, making it a great spot to enjoy an affordable yet quality meal.
With its efficient layout, good food variety, and comfortable setting, it's easily one of the better dining spots in Novena for casual meals.

Not surprised that the previous food court management has been taken over by Koufu. Koufu is much better. I don't usually take photos of food in food courts, but this was an exception as I was seduced by the looks of the chicken right in front of me.
I only had Chicken Rice and was really surprised it tasted good. The chicken was succulent, smooth, and tender. It went well with the fragrant rice and chilli.

Koufu at Novena Square is a great spot for affordable and diverse food options. The food court is clean, spacious, and well-organized, with plenty of seating available even during peak hours. There’s a good variety of stalls serving local and international cuisines, and the quality of the food is consistently good. It’s a convenient place to grab a quick and satisfying meal.
The Japanese food tastes good for its reasonable price. There are plenty of choices from their menu, from noodles to rice dishes.
