Koufu stands as one of Singapore's most established and extensive food court operators, managing over 70 outlets across the island that transform traditional hawker culture into modern, comfortable dining environments. As part of a company that operates 180 outlets of coffee shops and food courts with 12 distinct brands in Singapore and internationally, Koufu has become an integral part of Singapore's accessible dining landscape.
The food courts feature diverse dining options with carefully selected stalls, several of which provide halal-certified meals to cater to Muslim diners and Singapore's multicultural community. While not all stalls within Koufu outlets are halal-certified, the food courts clearly identify halal options, such as the Rasa Seafood and Yong Tau Foo stalls at Jurong West, and Ban Mian & Fish Soup and Chicken Rice stalls at White Sands Pasir Ris.
Koufu operates various food court concepts including Fork & Spoon (their dedicated halal food court), The Gallerie, 1983, and Happy Hawkers, with locations spanning from neighborhood estates to major medical facilities like Singapore General Hospital and Sengkang General Hospital, shopping centers like Thomson Plaza and Velocity at Novena Square, and business districts like Fusionopolis. This extensive network ensures that quality, affordable food court dining with halal options remains accessible to communities throughout Singapore, maintaining the convenience and diversity that defines Singapore's vibrant food court culture.

This morning, 24th June 2025 at 9:05 am, I ordered two black coffees from the drink stall. I was served by a bespectacled elderly lady with curly hair. I told her I wanted the coffee to be taken away in a paper cup, and she replied, "What paper cup?" in a very rude manner. Hot drinks can actually be taken away in either a paper cup or a plastic bag. I had politely asked for a paper cup instead, knowing I would be paying for it anyway. Can the management train their employees to be polite to customers?

This review pertains to some food stalls only, specifically the Korean Food Stall and the Economical Rice stall. The taste of the food is okay. I can accept that the food prices are now more expensive after renovation, but that doesn't mean treating your customers like idiots.
I bought the chicken omurice from the Korean Food stall. The price was higher before renovation, previously $6.50 and now $7.20. That's okay because I guess all food prices have gone up due to inflation. However, the food quantity is getting ridiculous. Even the economical rice stall was serving much lesser portions with higher prices. The stall owner was almost counting how many pieces of meat and vegetables to put into my rice box. An increase in price and a much smaller food portion is a double whammy for customers and a win-win for stall owners. Don't treat your customers this way. The food portion from the Korean food stall in the picture is like a kid's meal.

I asked to have sauce added, but he immediately said it couldn't be done and charged me $7.10! The fried squid was plain, as if they just put batter on it and fried it without any seasonings. It was expensive for poor taste and terribly rude service; I will never eat at any Koufu outlet ever again and will definitely tell everyone to boycott them

The fishball noodle stall's chilli padi soy sauce was full of maggots! When I told the stall aunties, they both kept arguing with me, saying it was chilli flakes. Meanwhile, they kept stirring and stirring, asking me where it was. After I took a photo, zoomed in, and showed them, they finally fell silent. If they can't see, they should wear spectacles!

The Japanese cuisine is yummy. You can also try the other bentos. The chicken rice is also good. It felt a little expensive and the quality is not as great as before. The tom yum soup is missing.

Cookhouse by Koufu at Novena Square offers a modern and well-organized food court experience with a pleasant layout and inviting ambience. The space is bright, clean, and well-ventilated, making it a comfortable place to dine, whether you're stopping by for a quick bite or a relaxed meal.
The variety of food options is impressive, covering local favorites, Asian cuisine, and Western choices, ensuring there’s something for everyone. The seating is spacious and well-arranged, so even during peak hours, it doesn’t feel too cramped. The overall design gives it a more premium feel compared to standard food courts, making it a great spot to enjoy an affordable yet quality meal.
With its efficient layout, good food variety, and comfortable setting, it's easily one of the better dining spots in Novena for casual meals.

A pretty normal Koufu. Meals range from $5-$10+. The Korean stall is quite good and has some healthy options (like the kimchi soup, $6).
It was quite empty on a Friday at 5pm, decently quiet.
