Ordered 3 boxes of 12 mini cupcakes via WhatsApp for self-collection at the Seletar Mall outlet. Upon collection, I checked the top box and noticed some of the cupcakes had toppled to the side. I informed the staff, and all she did was use tongs to pick up the toppled cupcakes and try to readjust them back into place. All 3 boxes had at least 1 cupcake toppled. I mentioned that if she's using tongs to pick them up like that, wouldn't the cream smudge? All she said was it's packed by HQ and delivered here, so it has nothing to do with the shop. I was even told that it's normal for the cupcakes to topple. I suggested that if they know the cupcakes tend to pop out, shouldn't they do something about the packaging? I was ignored, and she insisted it's normal. (FYI, I've ordered from other shops before, and they secure the cupcakes well with double-sided tape at the base.) What's the point of buying cupcakes if the frosting at the top is going to get smudged? The shop staff told me to reach out to HQ instead. I texted HQ via WhatsApp, and there was ZERO reply, not even an acknowledgement. Ridiculous customer service, please beware. Only saving grace is the cupcakes tasted quite nice and not too sweet.
