Founded in 2017 by visionary entrepreneurs Jake Chia, Huang Changyong, and Adrian Ang, this innovative restaurant concept has transformed how Singaporeans access high-quality stir-fried rice and noodle dishes through their distinctive fry-to-order system.

With an impressive network of 36 strategically located outlets throughout Singapore, including prominent positions at AMK Hub, Bedok Mall, Bugis Junction, Bukit Panjang Plaza, Causeway Point, Funan Mall, Guoco Tower, Hougang Mall, IMM Shopping Mall, JEM, Junction 8 Shopping Centre, NEX Mall, Northpoint City, Our Tampines Hub, Paya Lebar Square, Plaza Singapura, and Republic Plaza, Wok Hey ensures convenient access for customers across different neighborhoods while maintaining consistent operating hours from 10:30 AM to 10:00 PM.

The restaurant concept centers on customizable stir-fry dishes that allow customers to create personalized meals according to their taste preferences, dietary requirements, and spice tolerance levels. This flexibility ensures every visit provides satisfying experiences that meet individual needs while maintaining the authentic flavors that define exceptional Asian cuisine.

The comprehensive menu showcases diverse options including aromatic Fried Rice varieties, premium Egg Fried Rice, sophisticated Shanghai Fried Rice, authentic Fresh Ramen, traditional Udon noodles, and innovative combinations that incorporate both classic and contemporary Asian flavors. These base options provide the foundation for extensive customization possibilities.

Protein selections emphasize quality and variety, featuring tender Grilled Chicken at S.80, traditional Chicken preparations, premium Braised Beef at S.50, and fresh Prawns at S.80, ensuring options that satisfy different preferences and budgets while maintaining consistent preparation standards across all locations.

Popular signature dishes include Egg Fried Rice with Seasoned Prawns that combines perfectly seasoned rice with premium seafood, Fresh Ramen with Seasoned Prawns featuring springy noodles in savory broths, and Fresh Udon with Braised Beef that showcases tender meat preparations with authentic Japanese noodle traditions adapted for local preferences.

The innovative ingredient selections include unique offerings like Brussels sprouts and tobiko that demonstrate Wok Hey commitment to creative cuisine combinations while maintaining authentic Asian flavor profiles. These distinctive ingredients allow adventurous diners to explore new taste combinations while providing familiar options for traditional preferences.

Vegetarian-friendly options ensure inclusive dining experiences through customizable stir-fry dishes featuring fresh vegetables and tofu preparations that maintain the same quality standards and flavor complexity as meat-based dishes. The standard menu begins at affordable Egg Fried Rice for S.00, making quality Asian cuisine accessible to diverse economic backgrounds.

The open kitchen concept creates engaging dining experiences where customers can witness skilled chefs preparing their meals using traditional wok techniques that achieve the distinctive wok hei flavors essential to exceptional stir-fry cuisine. This transparency builds customer confidence while providing entertainment value that enhances the overall dining experience.

The takeout-only kiosk format reflects understanding of modern urban lifestyles where convenience and speed are priorities, while the fry-to-order system ensures every dish is prepared fresh upon ordering rather than sitting under heat lamps. This commitment to freshness distinguishes Wok Hey from conventional fast food operations.

Convenient online ordering systems allow customers to skip queues and receive notifications when orders are ready, streamlining the pickup process for busy professionals and families. This technological integration demonstrates commitment to customer convenience while maintaining operational efficiency.

The halal certification ensures Muslim customers can enjoy authentic Asian stir-fry cuisine with complete dietary confidence, while the diverse menu accommodations various cultural preferences and dietary restrictions that reflect Singapore multicultural dining landscape.

Value-for-money positioning makes quality Asian cuisine accessible to students, working professionals, and families without compromising ingredient quality or preparation standards. The combination of affordable pricing, generous portions, and authentic flavors has built strong customer loyalty and word-of-mouth recommendations.

I came from work and was about to go home. I was very hungry and tired, so I decided to quickly order Egg Fried Rice (BEEF) from WOK HEY BEDOK MALL. After about 10 minutes, I collected my order as I was next in the queue. However, the cashier who took my order gave me the wrong item, which was spicy Udon noodles that I don't eat. I just wasted $7.90 for nothing because I won't be eating this wrong item; I was expecting to eat the fried rice I ordered. Very disappointed and frustrated. Please improve your service; it was just one item, and yet there was still a chance for mistakes. Check your customer's receipt before giving them their item, and please be more attentive. My goodness.

It seems like everyone here has issues, LOL, both managers and workers. I understand everyone is busy and tired, but if you can't provide basic customer service, then don't work in customer service...? We paid for the food. I saw them being rude to an uncle because he was checking whether his order was done. And the fact that another staff member keyed in my order wrongly but tried to blame it on me and proceeded to shout at me? Usually, I love wok hei, but I think after this experience, I'd rather eat something else at this price that serves up basic quality service.

Curious, so I tried it twice at two different locations. The fried rice is just underwhelming; greasy, bland, and doesn't taste like proper fried rice. It's an interesting concept, but the execution fails.

I am a regular customer at Bedok Mall's Wok Hey. Here's one observation: How your food (especially fried rice) turns out will depend on the cook frying it. Essentially, with the lack of knowledge of their names, the following is the comparison of the output standards by the tall slim cook versus a relatively shorter, plump cook. Only once was I fortunate when the tall slim cook fried the rice, because he really did so with good effort and standard. But for my subsequent orders, I have observed that the relatively shorter, plump cook would just simply mix the rice and prawns with eggs. Yes, literally "mixed" them together and fry it with little effort, behaving like he is not bothered to fry the rice, unlike the other male cook or the young lady (who does a pretty decent job actually). This cook is just plain lazy!!! As a result, I had to fry the rice again at home. So here's my advice to any potential customers: if you intend to order any food from Bedok Mall's Wok Hey, make sure the relatively shorter, plump, lazy cook is not there. He is the reason that shaved 3 stars from a perfect rating. PS: I have already shared this feedback with the young lady manning the stall; she should be fully aware of which cook I was referring to. Cheers.

The stall is located at Bedok Mall (nearest train station: Bedok MRT Station). Wok Hey serves hearty stir-fried dishes to satisfy all your cravings. MUST TRY: Shanghai Fried Rice, Fresh Ramen with Braised Beef and Sous Vide Egg, Fresh Udon with Seasoned Prawn, Black Pepper Fried Rice. Expect a wait for your food during lunch and dinner peak hours. Diners will be issued a number and will have to wait for their turn.

The whole family got to try it recently and we love the quality of the fried rice; there's a really strong wok hei taste :) Between the teriyaki udon and prawn udon, the latter is much better. I think it's safe to go with the recommended items on the menu.

I placed an advance online order on Wok Hey for my lunch. The platform showed a 10-minute waiting time, so I confirmed it. However, upon reaching the outlet after the mentioned timing, my item was still not ready. Given the limited time for my meal break, if the waiting time had been more than the stated 10 minutes, I would not have confirmed the order and would have looked for other options. I was nearly late for work. Wok Hey is always my comfort food, so I wrote to their support team regarding the online platform's advisory waiting timeline, which customers need to take note of. The support team member, Mina, replied to my concern and promptly took appropriate action. Well done, Mina, and I will continue to support Wok Hey!

Too bad I didn't capture a photo of the fried rice. I ordered it via GrabFood – the Shanghai prawn rice with added baby spinach. It arrived still hot and tasted so good, especially with the Putien chilli I bought the other day.
