Kaffe & Toast is the halal-certified subsidiary of the popular Coffee & Toast brand, specifically launched to provide delicious traditional Singaporean breakfast sets in a cozy environment for busy working executives and Muslim diners. With multiple outlets including locations at Eunos Road and Woodlands Civic Centre, the restaurant serves as an accessible alternative for those seeking halal-certified versions of classic Singaporean breakfast fare. The establishment maintains MUIS halal certification, ensuring compliance with Islamic dietary requirements.
The restaurant's signature offering is their Kaya Butter Toast, described as "a crispy, golden treat slathered with rich kaya and butter," available as part of Set A which includes 2 softboiled eggs and choice of drink. Beyond their famous kaya toast, the menu has evolved to include all-day local favorites such as Chicken Rendang, Mee Rebus, Laksa, and Mee Siam, alongside Thai boat noodles and rice dishes that cater to diverse taste preferences throughout the day.
Kaffe & Toast successfully bridges traditional coffeeshop culture with modern halal dining requirements, making iconic Singaporean breakfast experiences accessible to Muslim consumers. Their expansion beyond breakfast items demonstrates adaptability to customer needs while maintaining the authentic flavors that define Singapore's hawker heritage. The restaurant's cozy environment and strategic locations make it a convenient choice for both quick breakfast stops and leisurely meals throughout the day.

Super bad experience. The waiting time was extremely long. The bread was finished, but the drinks weren't ready. We ordered Set B and Milo Dinosaur and asked for straws, but they said they didn't have any. They asked us to use a spoon to stir, which made drinking very messy. People doing takeaway could get straws, but dine-in customers couldn't. Lousy service and a bad attitude.

Price very reasonable compare to the food count in hospital. Laksa very nice, must try.
Update 2024:
Price is very reasonable compared to the food portions in the hospital. The Laksa is very nice, a must-try. Update 2024: The price is above the food court, but there aren't many other choices in the hospital. I ordered the meatball soup, but the meatballs were still "freezing" together, even though they were both cooked. This is something that can be improved.

Bought their tangy mee siam and they forgot to include the egg in the take-out container. Customers, please do check your items before you leave the premises if you are buying take away. Anyway, this is the last time I will buy from them, if I wasn't in a hurry. :( Also, do bring your own container because they charge extra if you want to separate the sauce and bee hoon. Look at the photo if you don't separate them. See how much sauce they give for dine-in versus take-away? For a bowl of $5.90 tangy mee siam, please inform your staff to be honest sellers and include the egg for take-away, as per the photo advertised. The first photo I took from home, and the second photo is a screenshot from their website.

Bee Leng, who served us, and another Filipina lady (refer to picture) refused to change the terribly done kaya butter toast. It is really disappointing to pay $6 and receive this kind of service at Kaffe & Toast. Worst service. Rude & Selfish. They told us that if we bought the butter toast only, we would get more butter, but if we bought butter kaya, this is what we would get. If this is what we get, this is my first and last time here. Really a horrible experience.

I've visited this place multiple times on weekends, and occasionally on weekdays, to enjoy their food. They offer a variety of Asian dishes (as seen in the photo), drinks, and toast sets. The establishment also caters to those who prefer non-spicy options. I usually purchase "R2" (I've forgotten the exact dish name) for my boys, and they absolutely love it (photo of R2 food attached). The chicken portion is quite generous, and it tasted delicious – a good combination. The bowl of mee siam is also generously portioned. Highly recommended!

The environment is good and the cleanliness is still acceptable. The ham and cheese toast is a bit on the salty side; it would be better if they could use a less salty ham. The egg is sometimes more than half boiled, but most of the time it's still okay.

Love the choices here. You get Thai and local food. Tried their Chwee Kweh and Pra Kow Beef with rice (and achar). All were good. Importantly, all staff were nice with the right service attitude. When asked or requested something, they responded nicely with a pleasant tone and the right choice of words. There was no sign of annoyance or irritation (at least, I didn't feel any). No changed faces or eye-rolls.
I forgot to bring my own takeaway boxes, and they didn't charge extra. It's great! Imagine three items at $0.30 each! The takeaway box has different compartments, so the gravy doesn't 'swell' the rice. Great!
There's always a bit of waiting, but it's just around 5 minutes. Anyway, it's worth it.
You can see all staff are working hard. No staff were talking or laughing loudly amongst themselves. I observed staff helping each other. It looks like the company trains their staff well.

This outlet is situated within the premises of Sengkang General Hospital. It's very popular during dining hours, with a queue forming at the entrance.
The cafe can feel cramped with diners sitting at close proximity during peak hours. However, it offers a range of food items, from rice and noodles to breakfast items like soft-boiled eggs and kaya toast.
The laksa noodles were tasty with a thick, creamy laksa soup. The chicken boat noodles with clear soup had a delicious, spicy taste.
