Kazo Singapore has established itself as a distinctive halal-certified patisserie specializing in premium Taiwanese handmade baked goods, bringing authentic Asian bakery traditions to Singapore's sophisticated dessert market through their dedication to artisanal craftsmanship and quality ingredients. Their halal certification ensures that their premium handmade products remain accessible to Singapore's diverse religious communities while maintaining the authentic flavors and textures that define quality Taiwanese bakery culture, making them a bridge between traditional Asian baking heritage and modern multicultural dietary requirements.
The carefully curated menu at Kazo showcases their expertise in Taiwanese specialty items, featuring their signature Crispy Cream Puffs that demonstrate their mastery of delicate pastry techniques, iconic Polo Buns that represent classic Taiwanese bakery culture, and innovative Baked Cheese Tarts that blend traditional tart-making with contemporary flavor profiles. Their product range extends to sophisticated offerings including their Signature Cake Series that elevates celebration desserts, Kazu Kazu specialty items that showcase their unique brand identity, Crispy Durian Puff for adventurous local palates, Premium Fruit Cheese Tarts featuring seasonal ingredients, and elegant Dacquoise that demonstrates their technical pastry skills. This diverse selection, complemented by traditional Taiwanese snacks, creates a comprehensive menu that serves both everyday indulgence and special occasion celebrations while maintaining the authentic taste profiles that distinguish genuine Taiwanese bakery products from generic Asian-style pastries.
Kazo's success stems from their commitment to preserving authentic Taiwanese bakery traditions while adapting to Singapore's multicultural market demands through halal certification and strategic product selection that appeals to local taste preferences. Their focus on premium handmade quality differentiates them from mass-produced bakery chains, creating a artisanal experience that justifies premium pricing while delivering exceptional taste and presentation that meets contemporary consumer expectations for Instagram-worthy desserts and authentic cultural experiences. The brand's ability to maintain traditional Taiwanese techniques while ensuring halal compliance demonstrates their sophisticated understanding of both culinary authenticity and market accessibility, positioning them as specialists who serve customers seeking genuine Asian confectionery experiences that accommodate religious dietary requirements without compromising on quality or cultural authenticity.

Only half a bowl of soup was served. Cutlery was insufficient; we had to get some from the next table. Recommend serving the curry hot instead of warm. The crepe was crispy. Overall, it was okay.

- Fuss-free online ordering and payment.
- One food item and one drink cost approximately $21.
- Food presentation matches the display.
- Salad is plain, not tossed in any dressing.
- The rosti portion is, in my opinion, small (egg for comparison).
- The rosti tastes mediocre. The crispness I expected is nonexistent, compromised by the food covering it. The middle is also too dense and moist, not fluffy.
- Service is okay, though my cup was cleared without asking (I was still chewing ice).

Non-Muslim review: The food was incredibly disappointing. The chocolate cake had an aftertaste reminiscent of a cheap $24 mama shop vegetable-oil fake-cream kiddy cake. Each bite seemed to get worse. The signature hot chocolate was also watery.
The durian puff was really good; I would consider getting it again. However, the chocolate cake and drink were so insultingly bad that we couldn't finish the cake, despite having a severe chocolate craving. The bread dip for the mushroom soup was too salty, and the Taiwanese ham and cheese crepe was too oily.
I'd give this place a 0/5 just for that cake, but at least the durian puff was nice. (I have a sweet tooth, but be warned, it was VERY sweet.)
Edit: No tissues were provided, despite it being a cafe. Why not charge us for using utensils as well?

I buy Kazu Kazu quite regularly and have always thought they were worth spending $6/pc because they're always brimming with Hokkaido cream. But to get half a dozen and realise they are all barely filled is NOT okay! Worse still, I think it was the manager of the outlet who prepared them for us last Sunday evening.

First time trying this restaurant. I just wanted to nibble on something while waiting for my friend for dinner. I decided to get the Hokkaido cream puff. Wow, the puff was crispy and the cream inside was just a bit cool. Not too sweet and very light. Great for dessert too. Will be back... so yummy! ;)

The place is cute and clean, located at B1. It's easy to find amongst the many food shops because of Kazo's distinctive yellow colour.
Staff are well-trained, friendly, and attentive. One staff member, whose name I couldn't get as he had no name tag, was Chinese, tall, wore specs, and spoke Malay. He cleared our table bit by bit as my friends and I finished our food. He suggested we keep the cream puffs aside as we left them untouched while we ate the mains, and informed us to let someone at the counter know when we wanted to eat the puffs.
Food-wise, we had their Ramadhan specials. They were definitely worth the price and the food varieties included. The salted egg chicken batter was a bit salty for my taste. The sotong was springy and nicely cut with just the right amount of sambal spice. The vegetable "soup" was served on a mini stove; it was thick and tasted good. The vegetables were typical of Lontong – brinjal, cabbage, etc.
The cream puffs were x3 cream, x3 chocolate. I tell you, OMGosh... so tasty! The puffs were not too sweet at all! It was my first time eating at Kazo cafe, and the journey to Pasir Ris Mall was worth it! I stay in Woodlands.

A very eye-catching presentation for my brunch today. Excellent service; their staff are observed to be very attentive towards their customers. However, I need to break my dieting rules of a low salt, low sugar, and less oil meal when I dine at this restaurant. The ambience is good. I must also compliment them for an attractive-looking food presentation. It's a pricey place to dine in very often, so frequent patronage might require deep pockets.

Came here for the cream puff (which was delicious, by the way - the cream to puff ratio was very generous), and stayed for the sourdough.
Ordered the cheesy mushroom sourdough and honestly, it's one of the best sourdough textures I've had in a long time. Crusty exterior and fluffy middle. I'll be buying one sourdough to take home.
