I ordered the Japanese curry cheese rice with beef. The Indian lady cashier was not friendly and almost seemed rude. Frankly, the food tasted bland, and the curry didn’t taste fresh. Overall, the food is only worth trying once. I won’t order it a second time.

Ordered additional chicken and egg, but neither was given. Had to check with them again. The lady cooking looked annoyed, as if I was making a ridiculous request. Four small pieces of chicken cubes for $1.50. This isn't the first time experiencing such poor customer service.

The ordering and collection system is messy. They don't use a queue number and buzzer system, so you'll see people standing around just waiting for their food. When the food is ready, staff sometimes just place it there, and you won't be certain it's yours.

Came here on 3 September 2025 at around 7pm. The tall guy serving me was VERY RUDE. I work in customer service management, and in all my years, I have never been so shocked. He cursed at me silently, not knowing I could hear, because I didn't tell him my "payment method?" when I had already gestured by tapping my physical bank card on the scanner. I am lost for words. So this is the worker standard for Pepper Lunch.

Ordered the beef set for $7.50 and double beef for $2.30, totaling $9.80. The price is steep for the portion size, but it's hard to go wrong with Pepper Lunch, especially with how you can customize the doneness. The rice is always tasty with their MSG butter mix, and it can get charred to a crisp, which some people absolutely love. If you prefer your beef less cooked, just place it on top of the rice to control the doneness. The corn adds a different dimension. You'll definitely get a good beefy flavor if eaten with the honey sauce, but if you want added sweetness, just dip the beef in the sauce.

Fast and nice with a lot of promotions, such as double beef for only $9.80. The brown sauce is not self-serving yet, and during peak hours, waiting time can be up to 60 minutes.
