The environment of this restaurant is poorly designed. It's very noisy — the sound of customers talking and the sizzling of the teppanyaki is so loud that it feels uncomfortable.
The whole place is enclosed and filled with an oily smoke smell, so after dining, it felt no different from eating hotpot or barbecue. The tables are also very close to each other.
Overall, the dining experience was not very good. The food was about the same as other outlets — just average.

I used to eat at Pepper Lunch in the food court, so I didn't have high expectations. The food is actually not bad, especially if you're not too particular. It's definitely not gourmet level, but it's tasty nonetheless. The main thing to note is to mix your rice immediately to ensure the meat and rice don't get burnt from the hot pan. Although it's a self-service restaurant, there were a few staff available to help us with our order and clear out the pans after we ate. They were very helpful. I didn't quite like the atmosphere as it's basically a cross between a food court stall and a fast-food restaurant.

However, the place needs better ventilation. It’s too smoky in a confined area compared to the food court previously.
The floor is very oily and slippery. I hope there won’t be an accident. I cannot imagine the extent of injury with a hot plate on human skin.

One thing to prepare for is the lingering smell of oil and grease. After dining, you might find that your clothes and shoes carry that scent, as the floors can be quite greasy.
