The queues are always fast, and the portions consistently reliable — Poke Theory has usually been my go-to for healthy food in a hurry. However, I've recently encountered an issue with a particular staff member.
During one visit, I brought an overseas colleague along, and she became frustrated when ordering from this staff member. Although my colleague had selected a few premium ingredients, she did not require more than the standard five side options for her lite bowl. Despite us clearly and politely explaining this multiple times, the staff member insisted she must choose additional sides, which made the experience unnecessarily difficult.
Since that incident, I’ve noticed discrepancies in service whenever this staff member handles my order when I visit every other week. Portions appear smaller, toppings are reduced, or I’m told items (such as sauce containers) are unavailable — only to see them offered to the next customer. On some occasions, even basic items like plastic bags are omitted.
I want to emphasize that I have always remained polite, but I do feel this treatment is unfair. I’d appreciate the team’s understanding in ensuring that this does not continue, as I enjoy Poke Theory and would like to keep enjoying it as I have before.

The term "poke" (pronounced *po-kay*) originates from Hawaii and refers to a traditional dish made with raw, diced fish, typically tuna or salmon, mixed with ingredients like seaweed, soy sauce, sesame oil, and green onions. The word *poke* means "to slice" or "to cut crosswise into pieces" in Hawaiian, reflecting the fish's preparation style.

I went there around 6 PM. The store wasn't crowded at all, with only two customers ahead of me, but I still had to wait almost 20 minutes to order my food. While I was ordering, the staff stopped preparing my food to wash tongs and food containers. He left me waiting without any apology or explanation, and it wasn't even close to closing time yet. The portion given was very small for a $14.90 meal; the bowl was only half full. The service was bad, and the food quality is dropping. Totally not worth it.

I ordered a light bowl at Poke Therapy Raffles Place. The lady wearing the bandana who served me was not upfront about letting customers know about extra charges. I ordered a soba base, and she never told me that would cost extra. I have been dining at Poke since you opened and at different outlets. I felt the best service outlet was the one at Novena. It had a reasonably good portion – not too little and not too much, just nice in every mouth.

Was served by Fha and Emma! They were the two most pleasant staff I've ever met at Poke Theory! They made a long day after work so much better with a big, beautiful bowl of salmon mentaiko and an even bigger smile on my face because of them!
(Update) Went back again for the awesome service and food! This time, I was pleasantly greeted by Fha and Mas! Absolutely the best Poke Theory in SG, hands down.

It's really tasty! A very good healthy option. The "light" poke bowls are $11.50, but they're not very filling. The larger ones are $15-17. I really liked the quinoa base. Make sure to get the sauces on the side. The kimchi, avocado, edamame, and other toppings are extra charges. There's space to sit.

Very generous and big portions were given, even with the salmon. The salmon was marinated in soy sauce, which made the poke bowl flavorful. For regular-sized bowls, we were allowed to choose 7 toppings (like broccoli, bean sprouts, pumpkin, carrot, cucumber, corn, etc.), which were all very healthy and added variety. There were so many toppings that they covered the salmon and rice. Overall, it was worth the price too! The staff was kind enough to explain how to order, and the seats weren't too close to each other, which was great.

The portion size was average, and the food was alright. The price is on the higher side; there are definitely more affordable poke bowls out there. I wouldn't go through the trouble to come back here to eat poke bowls.

The lady who served us, Emma, is super friendly and approachable. She patiently waited for us to pick our ingredients. This is the reason that makes me want to come back again. Thank you, Emma! Hope to see you next time!
