Customer Service: In general, it’s okay, except for a staff member named Fadli/Fadil (or something similar). We think Tokyo Shokudo’s management should conduct a performance review for this individual. He provides poor customer service and gives the impression that he couldn’t care less. We’ve eaten here multiple times, and this behaviour has been consistent. Food review: 4-stars. The soup base is tasty, though the noodles felt a bit doughy (al-dente) for our serving that day. Overall, it was decent. Tempura was fine too. The Yuzu ramen is not for everyone; you must love Yuzu. I’d recommend just going for the regular/spicy.

We ordered two signature tendon sets as we hadn't tried this place before, despite walking past it a number of times when we visit the mall. The tendon set was pretty standard in terms of the variety of meats and vegetables, as well as the taste. We liked that the set included an egg, as most other tendon places don't offer one. However, the egg was overcooked, so the yolk was hardened instead of runny. Even though the food was decent, the speed of service left a lot to be desired. We arrived late, around 8:15 pm, so the place was already quite empty. We didn't expect to have to wait long for our food to be served. To make matters worse, the staff were already mopping the floor while we were eating, so we had to endure the overly strong smell of detergent throughout our meal. I understand that the staff want to leave on time and may want to get the cleaning done since there weren't many customers left, but they could have done so for the areas where customers were not dining.

Visited during lunchtime and to our dismay, the food did not look like what it does on the menu. Ordered the chicken cha shu tom yam ramen lunch set. For comparison, the left is what was displayed in the menu while the right is what we received. Just one singular piece of chicken is pathetic, let alone half an egg. The picture from the menu shows (at least) 2 pieces of chicken and a full egg. For the price points, this is just unreasonable. Utterly disappointed. Not to mention how the staff slipped and dropped the bowl of ramen on the table, which splashed on my friend. The staff muttered “sorry” and quickly walked away. Not sure why the service staff here are so stuck up. The lack of professionalism is bizarre. Not returning again.

The restaurant doesn't look very clean. The walls are full of mould. Service is slow and erratic. I ordered the 2-person bundle meal, and the first things they served before the main dish were ice cream and drinks. My child had to wait almost 30 minutes to get the Ebi fry don served. Overall, the food is just okay.

The food here is getting worse. I ordered Ebi Don, and the fried prawn was not crispy. It tasted like they fried the prawns early and kept them on standby for Ebi Don orders. I felt quite disappointed, as I've liked coming here for dinner since it first opened. Hopefully, the shop manager can look into this matter, especially since the food here is also not cheap.

The place is accessible, clean, and well-located in a mall. I tried the seasonal special, which was yuzu soup broth. Personally, I would still prefer the original classic chicken or black broth. However, the okonomiyaki dumpling was really nice. Overall, I would come again when I'm around the area. The staff there are polite and friendly, which is a big plus.

Visited around 1pm. Ordered the signature tendon, as it's one of the recommended dishes. The portion was huge and the food arrived pretty fast. I was very pleasantly surprised by my first bite of the tempura prawn; it had a very good taste and was served piping hot. The batter was so crispy. The rest of the tempura were equally good and well done. The egg, on the other hand, was cold. It could have been better if it was hot too. Overall, the experience was great. The staff were friendly and customer-oriented. The ambience was great too. I asked to be moved to a window seat and enjoyed my lunch throughout. I'm giving it 5 stars and will recommend this restaurant to my friends.

Opens at 11:30 AM and is located on Level 4 of Tampines Mall. Food service can be slow for certain dishes or when the staff are shorthanded, so take note if you are in a rush. The service from the staff is just normal and average. Overall, the food portion is reasonable for the price. The Volcano dish is spicy, no kidding! So take note before deciding to order.

Hey guys, just wanted to share my recent experience at Tokyo Shokudo in Tampines Mall. If you're in the mood for some Japanese Tendon rice, this place is okay! I tried their chicken ramen and signature tendon, and they were quite nice. The ramen had a flavorful broth and tender chicken, while the tendon was roasted and good. Overall, a satisfying meal.

The food and service are great. I had the Nasi Lemak with a chicken wing, a set meal with iced tea and pudding. Yes, I know... I went to a Japanese restaurant for Nasi Lemak. But honestly, it's a very well-made Nasi Lemak. The chicken was hot and crispy, the rice was soft and flavorful with a ton of crispy ikan bilis and roasted peanuts – a party in my mouth! The best thing of all is the sambal; it's not only spicy, it's so flavorful and yummy! The iced tea was fine, and the pudding was also alright. Honestly, I still can't believe I had Nasi Lemak at Tokyo Shokudo!
