Poulet represents Singapore's premier destination for authentic French rotisserie chicken, bringing sophisticated European culinary traditions to accessible casual dining locations throughout the island since achieving complete MUIS halal certification in November 2020. Strategically positioned in high-traffic shopping destinations including ION Orchard, VivoCity, Kallang Wave Mall, Raffles City, and other premium locations, Poulet has successfully created a network that makes authentic French roast chicken experiences accessible to Singapore's diverse communities. Their halal certification marked a significant milestone in Singapore's dining landscape, as it represented the arrival of the first sleek, professional French casual dining restaurant that serves both the Muslim community and broader population seeking quality European cuisine without compromising on religious dietary requirements or authentic preparation methods.
The signature menu at Poulet revolves around their meticulously prepared rotisserie chicken, slow-roasted until achieving the perfect golden brown exterior while maintaining tender, juicy meat that exemplifies traditional French cooking techniques. Available as whole birds ($30.90), half portions (from $16.90), or convenient quarter servings ($14.90), each chicken is accompanied by a selection of sophisticated sauces that elevate the dining experience—including rich Mushroom Cream sauce, tangy Cranberry sauce, and their signature Diane sauce featuring turkey bacon and mushrooms in a complex brown sauce base. This focus on sauce variety demonstrates their commitment to authentic French culinary principles where proper accompaniments transform simple roasted chicken into an elegant dining experience that satisfies both casual diners and those seeking more refined flavors reminiscent of traditional French bistro cuisine.
Poulet's success lies in their ability to deliver sophisticated French casual dining that remains accessible both in terms of pricing and location convenience, positioning themselves as equally suitable for professional work lunches and romantic dinner dates without the prohibitive costs typically associated with fine French restaurants. Their strategic placement in major shopping centers ensures that French culinary experiences become integrated into Singaporeans' regular shopping and leisure activities, while their halal certification opens their doors to Singapore's largest religious community previously excluded from authentic French dining options. The restaurant's emphasis on fresh preparation, quality ingredients, and traditional cooking methods, combined with contemporary presentation and service standards, has established them as pioneers in halal French dining, successfully bridging cultural and culinary divides while maintaining the authenticity and elegance that defines quality French cuisine.

Nice place and a great 3-course promo! This was my second time eating here. The roasted brussel sprouts & broccoli were a bit bitter/burnt (to my taste at least), but everything else was good! Service was great

Tried the lunch set which allows you to choose a starter, main course, and drink. I chose the French onion soup, miso clam carbonara, and ice lemon tea.
The French onion soup was well done, but the carbonara was overly salty due to the miso. I asked for some chili to cut the richness of the creamy sauce, but they only had chili flakes and Tabasco, which isn't very spicy. I suggested to the waitress that they make some fresh red chili available, as some authentic Italian restaurants do provide them. Another complaint: I bit into a few broken shells from the clam. It was really irritating and could be dangerous.

First time trying this place with family. We were the first ones in. It's quite a popular place and got crowded fast.
I tried the half chicken with Diane sauce (brown sauce with turkey bacon and mushrooms). It's very filling because the sauce has a lot of butter. I also recommend getting the sautéed capsicums to cut through the richness of the butter. The portion was good and the chicken was moist. The chicken itself doesn't have much taste, and the sauce is a bit heavy for me personally. It should be shared with others.
Food took a while to arrive. The French onion soup and garlic bread are good.
The French onion rice side is not good; it's kind of bland.
Nice decor.
The physical menu has items that the online menu does not, which is annoying.
Not to my preference.

Ordered their Signature Roast Chicken and Braised Beef Cassoulet (3 pieces of beef oxtail), and truly enjoyed it. The portion was just right, and I really loved how tender the oxtail was. I only wished that our table was not assigned so close to the other tables, which made us feel awkward and uncomfortable throughout our time here. There were plenty of empty seats available at the back, and we don’t understand why we weren’t assigned one since the restaurant wasn’t that crowded.

Their salmon pot pie is delicious with lots of salmon bites. Their salted caramel French toast and French hot chocolate are also amazing! Their dark chocolate crème brûlée is really good, very thick; I enjoyed every bite. Try them all, you will not be disappointed! I found their tiramisu just okay. All dishes are very good value for money. The staff is super nice and friendly. I will definitely come back!

I had a rare day off and wanted to make the most of it, so I decided to treat myself to something good. I headed to Poulet at Kallang Wave Mall, a place I’d been curious about for their juicy roast chicken, and it definitely lived up to the hype.
I went for their 3-Course Feast, because why not go all out on your day off?
For the starter, I chose the Spicy Chicken Sausage & Clam, served with Little Toast (3pcs). The sausage had just the right kick, and the clams added a nice seafood twist. The little toasts were warm and crispy – simple but satisfying.
Next came the highlight: Half Chicken with Mushroom Cream Sauce. The chicken was incredibly tender and juicy, with golden, crispy skin. The creamy mushroom sauce was rich and flavorful without being too heavy—just right. Every bite was comforting and full of flavor.
To round off the meal, I picked the 70% Chocolate Crème Brûlée with Seasonal Fruit (topped up $3). The caramelized top cracked perfectly with a spoon, and the custard underneath was smooth, rich, and deeply chocolatey. The fresh fruit on the side added a light, refreshing touch.
I also added a glass of Iced Lemon Tea for $2.90; it was cold, citrusy, and a nice balance to the warm meal.
It may have just been a regular off day, but that meal turned it into something special. Can’t wait to go back and try a different sauce next time!

The desserts are fantastic, and the mushroom sauce pairs very well with the chicken. I did not prefer the lemon sauce, though. Do note that there are no free servings of plain water. However, the 3-course meal comes with a discounted drinks option.
