A no-frills, typical Japanese gyudon place in Singapore. The restaurant was rather small and very simply decorated, with tables close together due to the limited space. The taste is similar to most Yoshinoya outlets here or overseas. The ordering process is simple, using self-ordering machines located at the entrance. Prices seem to be higher in Singapore, though. Other than that, it's a very comforting meal.

Ordering is done through an automated kiosk, which makes it easy to order and pay. You receive a receipt with a queue number, so the ordering process is smooth and fast. However, the service from the staff wasn't that good from there on. Firstly, they messed up our order, and we had to go and remind them of our missing item. The unagi don was a letdown; it was just a small piece of eel that didn't match the menu picture. I didn't bother to contest this as the kiosk had a long queue, and I couldn't take a photo to compare. See the last photo to see the difference and judge for yourself. I think they need to quickly improve their service and food.

Not too bad for the price; generally, the food is 4/5. The beef bowl with onsen egg was $8. It had a decent portion of beef for that price. I ordered through the online kiosk and requested extra beef sauce. Somehow, I ended up with the exact same bowl as my friend's. Unless extra beef sauce comes in the form of a strand of hair, I definitely didn't get what I ordered. Aren't you supposed to wear hairnets in the kitchen anyway?

Great news, they have chicken sashimi here. My yakitori was freezer cold and made me sick. SFA, please do your checks.
This photo was taken after your staff microwaved it, and it was still cold in the middle. No replacement was offered, just a reheat using the microwave.
It's great how you deny the temperature of the food by looking at a photo. No wonder this is a 2.6-star branch. Anyway, a report has been submitted to SFA.

This is my first time visiting the Star Vista branch of Yoshinoya Singapore. All the staff's service and attitude were super lousy at this restaurant. It is a restaurant where so many things have gone wrong, at the very least, during my friend and my visit. Customers like us were told to clear our own trays, despite us paying for GST and service charges. This is not a hawker centre or a non-GST eating place. The staff are mostly rude and not attentive either. Massive bad franchise management of Yoshinoya, I would say. This is my first and going to be my last time eating at Yoshinoya in Singapore. I will support the brand again, but only at Yoshinoya Indonesia (Jakarta), where the services and quality food do match the brand name established since 1899, as it claimed. In other countries, Yoshinoya service is deemed great, and there are working staff to clear our trays/plates for customers and clean the dirty tables. But not in Singapore. I will not recommend this branch to others who are looking for decent staff service and be mindful that this restaurant is almost 100 percent self-service, except for the staff cooking the food for you, that is all. Zero smiles, zero greetings, zero thank yous, even from the storekeepers. I do not understand why the staff are even in the service F&B industry. The boss was not even working, maybe. Personally, I will not be supporting this brand in Singapore anymore. Sayonara Yoshinoya beef bowl Singapore. Arigatau.
