Kaffe & Toast is the halal-certified subsidiary of the popular Coffee & Toast brand, specifically launched to provide delicious traditional Singaporean breakfast sets in a cozy environment for busy working executives and Muslim diners. With multiple outlets including locations at Eunos Road and Woodlands Civic Centre, the restaurant serves as an accessible alternative for those seeking halal-certified versions of classic Singaporean breakfast fare. The establishment maintains MUIS halal certification, ensuring compliance with Islamic dietary requirements.
The restaurant's signature offering is their Kaya Butter Toast, described as "a crispy, golden treat slathered with rich kaya and butter," available as part of Set A which includes 2 softboiled eggs and choice of drink. Beyond their famous kaya toast, the menu has evolved to include all-day local favorites such as Chicken Rendang, Mee Rebus, Laksa, and Mee Siam, alongside Thai boat noodles and rice dishes that cater to diverse taste preferences throughout the day.
Kaffe & Toast successfully bridges traditional coffeeshop culture with modern halal dining requirements, making iconic Singaporean breakfast experiences accessible to Muslim consumers. Their expansion beyond breakfast items demonstrates adaptability to customer needs while maintaining the authentic flavors that define Singapore's hawker heritage. The restaurant's cozy environment and strategic locations make it a convenient choice for both quick breakfast stops and leisurely meals throughout the day.

We ate here on a Thursday evening around 8pm after my father finished his appointment at SGH. I ordered mee siam for myself and my mother, while my father ordered grilled chicken noodles as his stomach and IBS cannot tolerate chilli. The menu did not clearly indicate that chilli would be included, nor did the cashier inform us. When the food was ready, my father started eating and realised there was chilli. He then requested the female staff member in a hijab to change the noodles. She refused outright, stating, "All the items on the menu have chilli. It's normal." The cashier also rebutted with, "You never told me you don't want chilli." As first-time customers, are we expected to know that menu items automatically come with chilli? This is the first time I've encountered a shop that doesn't ask customers, "Do you want chilli?"
I understand we could have clarified, but every other eatery, like Eat! or food courts, would ask this simple question and take the initiative.
The service was terrible. All they had to do was apologise, and they couldn't even manage that. I would never eat here again. SGH should find a new cafe/restaurant to replace this one. This cafe, with its poor reviews, does not reflect well on the hospital either.

Ordered an iced coffee and dry brisket noodles. Paid $10.10. Waited for about 10 minutes, observing the staff chatting and laughing while no food was being prepared. Other customers who arrived later received their orders. When I inquired, a worker claimed I only ordered an iced coffee. I asked her to check the transaction, noting the iced coffee cost $10.10. She rudely replied she wasn't the one who took my order. I then questioned the cashier who took my order, and she responded, "Oh, we overlooked it." I requested to cancel my order, but she refused, while telling a colleague to prepare it. I took a photo of them. She aggressively questioned why I was taking their photo. Please send your staff for disciplinary training. Don't bring other countries' F&B standards to be normalized here in Singapore. It seems this outlet doesn't take customer reviews seriously.

TL;DR: Beef brisket is nice.
Overall, the food experience ranges from nice to okay. Looking at the brisket, tendon, and noodles, they all look and taste good!
However, the service is quite bad. It's not just self-service, but cleaning is also slow. The servers are quite brusque. But overall, the food is nice and also worth the cost! So, it's okay la~ 3*

The black kopi o kosong coffee is quite decent, but the food is abysmal. Staff also constantly get orders wrong. The nice thing is the eggs will be cracked for you. I wouldn't recommend anything other than the breakfast set, which is frankly quite good. Staff get a discount.

Came here early morning around 8 am, and there was already a long queue. However, the staff was efficient, and it moved very quickly. The eggs and toast were perfectly cooked, and the coffee was not too bad either. Overall, nothing to complain about, so it's good!

Ordered set A kaya toast and changed to ice lemon tea for $5.10. Ordered extra otah for $2.
The kaya toast was nice and the slab of butter inside was generous, but I wish there had been more kaya spread. The drink was so-so.
However, the boiled egg was cooked to perfection.
The otah is spicy, which I love.
