Honestly, the chicken chop tastes like it could have come from any restaurant. So-so.
Mango drink tastes like it came out of a tetra pak.
The only thing that was slightly better this time was the mac and cheese. Last time it was super watery (banned for 6 months), and this time it was back to normal.
Picture is just from Google, don't bother.

Astons generally has not-too-bad mains but terrible sides. The mac and cheese is kind of terrible, not a true representation of a classic. The baked potato was really good. The ribeye xtra cut was cooked properly and to my doneness; it was not too bad but not the best.

I went to ASTONS with three colleagues and wanted to try their lunch deal. It was packed the last few days, so we waited until today and were able to find seats. We settled on the deal.
We noticed that the East Point outlet had a free mushroom soup with any main dish, so my friend ordered just that: a spaghetti with a free mushroom soup.
Food was ordered around 12:30 PM, but it arrived close to 1 PM. They served the mushroom soup first, which tasted fine to me. However, my friend realized there looked like an insect in the soup. He didn't finish it afterwards. The food was also sub-par. I ordered the steak with rice and baked potato. The steak was tough to cut and chew, despite being medium-rare. The rice portion was small, and the baked potato was okay.

Good food but the service needs improvement. 1. Curt. 2. Waitress was impatient. 3. Loud plates when the restaurant wasn't busy. Our meal timing was 3pm.

I had lunch on 31 Aug at Eastpoint's Andes. While the food was tasty and the portions generous, my entire experience was utterly ruined by the discovery of a small dead cockroach in my ice lemon tea. This was beyond horrifying. Due to my poor eyesight, I consumed about 70% of the drink before noticing the disgusting insect floating inside. The sheer revulsion I felt is indescribable.
I reported this immediately to the manager, who apologized. Frankly, no apology can undo the trauma of consuming something so vile. I demanded that he check the entire batch of ice lemon tea to prevent anyone else from having this disgusting experience. When I requested to escalate this complaint to higher management, he dismissively suggested that posting a Google review would suffice.
So here I am, warning the entire world about the appalling hygiene and blatant disregard for customer safety at Andes. Thanks for the “extra ingredient” in my drink – the cockroach. I truly hope I don’t get food poisoning from this incident. If I do, I will hold your company 100% liable and take every legal step necessary. This is unacceptable and disgraceful.
