Crave Nasi Lemak has established itself as Singapore's beloved halal-certified chain, bringing the renowned flavours of The Original Adam Road Nasi Lemak by Selera Rasa to food lovers across the island. With 43 locations spanning popular malls like NEX, Bedok Mall, Jurong Point, and Junction 8, this restaurant has gained recognition from notable figures including PM Lee, the Sultan of Brunei, and the President of Indonesia, cementing its reputation as a must-visit destination for authentic Malaysian cuisine.

What sets Crave apart is their innovative approach to the traditional nasi lemak, featuring fragrant basmati rice instead of conventional short-grain rice. The long basmati grains create a light, fluffy texture with a delicate coconut milk fragrance that perfectly absorbs the accompanying flavours without becoming clumpy. Their signature sambal chili, crafted with both Indian and Japanese chilies, strikes an ideal balance between sweet and spicy, making it accessible even to those with lower spice tolerance while delivering authentic bold flavours.

The menu showcases signature dishes like the 2-piece Spicy Chicken Wings Nasi Lemak and Nasi Lemak Royale, complemented by traditional sides including beef rendang, curry chicken, otah, and sayur lodeh. With affordable pricing ranging from -0 per dish and convenient delivery options through GrabFood, Foodpanda, and Deliveroo, Crave successfully combines traditional Malaysian heritage with modern convenience and accessibility.

Very disappointed. The Passion card promotion offered $3 off with a minimum spend of $15. I paid using my Passion card, yet I did not receive the discount. After paying, I noticed the promotion sign, which was not placed at the cashier's side, making it easy for most customers to miss. I alerted the staff, and she mentioned she was a part-timer and didn't know. Another staff member said I should have alerted them. I suggested that the promotion signage should be placed at the payment counter, not the collection area. You need to look into this. Please put promotion signage at the cashier area.

To the owners: I love the nasi lemak, but the efficiency of your staff will drive business away. The work process can be streamlined and the speed of service increased. I queued for food as the queue was short, but waited more than 15 minutes for my order. Deeply disappointed. It doesn't help to have a nasi lemak craving and a plane to catch.

Rather stingy with the gravy, which is a problem because the rendang turned out to be very dry and hard. Spent so much time flossing after the meal. A male staff member gave a brusque “order over there!!!” when I was waiting, even though there was only one other customer. I noticed a distinct lack of cooperation between the female and male staff. I'm not sure if there was a conflict, but it shouldn't be affecting the customer experience. One of the less pleasant experiences. I wonder if it’s a franchise outlet, as that could explain why the rendang and service levels are very different.

Bought a $6.90 chicken cutlet and paid using a $10 note. However, I was given change consisting of a $2 note, 10 cents, and a 5 cent coin. I don't understand how anyone could mistake a $1 coin for a 5 cent coin. The Malay lady staff member was also very slow to take orders and seemed preoccupied with her own tasks.

I think there is a real shortage of manpower at this site, as the lady at the counter was seriously overwhelmed with the orders. I assumed she wanted to clear the orders as quickly as possible, thus she packed my food with missing begedil, peanuts, and ikan bilis without informing me. When I arrived home and discovered the missing items, I felt a bit shortchanged. Please help to provide more staff for this place. *Edit Recent visits in June 2025 have shown a change in staff. I appreciate the staff informing us of the waiting time, and they are also patient to ensure the order is correct. Glad to see customer service taking feedback seriously. Thank you.

Today, 28 June 2025, at 9:15 PM, I had the nicest, most sumptuous, and crunchiest chicken wings and French bean vegetables. They were tasty, very well cooked, and easy to eat. I trust this heartland outlet is the best Nasi Lemak I've tried, especially when compared to those in town areas. The chicken wings have improved quite a lot; they're not too dry compared to last year (2024). As you walk by the shopping malls, you can smell the fried aroma. To the shop owner, please make the crunchiness like Long John Silver's, using that old-school method. This will surely bring in tons of customers queuing up for more! The rice is just the right amount, not too oily, but a little dry though. I like the sambal chilli; it's not overly spicy, which is a good thing. The eggs still look fresh and chewy, including the fish fillet and ikan bilis, which still have their crunchiness. By the way, I was served during closing time by an Indian girl. She was in a rush, perhaps due to good business that ran over. Could it be the lighting for the food overshining the heating light? Anyway, she was attentive and managed to pack my order in a box for me. I also advise that the box can overturn the food. If they could use rubber bands to tie around it, it would prevent it from toppling.
