Crave Nasi Lemak has established itself as Singapore's beloved halal-certified chain, bringing the renowned flavours of The Original Adam Road Nasi Lemak by Selera Rasa to food lovers across the island. With 43 locations spanning popular malls like NEX, Bedok Mall, Jurong Point, and Junction 8, this restaurant has gained recognition from notable figures including PM Lee, the Sultan of Brunei, and the President of Indonesia, cementing its reputation as a must-visit destination for authentic Malaysian cuisine.

What sets Crave apart is their innovative approach to the traditional nasi lemak, featuring fragrant basmati rice instead of conventional short-grain rice. The long basmati grains create a light, fluffy texture with a delicate coconut milk fragrance that perfectly absorbs the accompanying flavours without becoming clumpy. Their signature sambal chili, crafted with both Indian and Japanese chilies, strikes an ideal balance between sweet and spicy, making it accessible even to those with lower spice tolerance while delivering authentic bold flavours.

The menu showcases signature dishes like the 2-piece Spicy Chicken Wings Nasi Lemak and Nasi Lemak Royale, complemented by traditional sides including beef rendang, curry chicken, otah, and sayur lodeh. With affordable pricing ranging from -0 per dish and convenient delivery options through GrabFood, Foodpanda, and Deliveroo, Crave successfully combines traditional Malaysian heritage with modern convenience and accessibility.

I was there for dinner yesterday evening and was attended to by a middle-aged lady. I found her service rather rigid. I asked if I could change the egg to something else of the same value, but she said it was not allowed. Perhaps it's company policy, and I respected that. Halfway through my dinner, she started raising her voice at an elderly man. She stormed out from the staff counter and confronted him, yelling that the food wasn't his. I really don't see the reason behind the rudeness, as it's quite common to take the wrong food when there are many customers ordering and waiting at the same time. In the process of leaving her post to confront the elderly man, she slammed the counter barrier. There was another couple nearby with a baby in a stroller. The loud bang frightened the baby, and the little one started crying. Without an apology to the couple, this staff member went back behind the counter and dropped the barrier loudly again, showing her anger and unhappiness with the elderly man. I just feel her actions were rather distasteful, and I really hope she could be switched to a different position in the restaurant, perhaps to the backend, so she doesn't have to be on the front line serving customers. She seemed miserable attending to customers. I believe such an arrangement would make customers and herself happier, and she wouldn't tarnish the company's reputation.

I ordered the party platter but was disappointed that the order came more than an hour late. One platter was a different size than the rest. The platter was flimsy and fell off easily, causing food to spill on the floor. The presentation was not at its best and not like what was shown in the picture. Only the rice and fish still tasted good; the rest was far from expectation. The chicken wing batter was thick, and the egg was hard. I requested serving plates but was not given any. I hope CRAVE improves on its plating.

The service standard really kills it all. A Malay boy was manning the stall, and I saw a few boxes of pre-packed rice on the table. When I ordered a takeaway chicken set, he took one of the pre-packed boxes and added my sides to the rice. When I took over the box, I didn't feel any warmth underneath, which meant the rice was cold. I asked for hot rice instead, and he responded, "All the rice are cold." Seriously? Isn't it cold because you dished the rice out from the warmer or rice cooker even before any customers ordered them? There wasn't any customer dining in or waiting to order; I was the only one. No more patronage from me and my family.

Many brunch options around, and the food was okay. However, it seems the standard has dropped. The rice was not as fragrant as before, yet the price has gone up. There's a shortage of staff, and they seem overloaded and unable to cope during lunchtime. Not many seats available, and it's not suitable for larger groups.

I’m writing to express my disappointment regarding a poor customer service experience at your outlet

I am writing to express my disappointment regarding a poor customer service experience at your outlet. During my recent visit, I approached the cashier to place my order. I spoke politely and asked if there were any other drink options available, as I had seen others with iced kopi, which I couldn’t find on the menu. There were no other customers queuing at the time, so I was surprised when the staff member (the aunty) at the cashier responded in a very impatient and rude manner. She raised her voice and shouted, “ICE BANDUNG! ICE KOPI! ICE…”, which was unnecessary and uncalled for. If the drink options are listed on the menu, a simple and professional response directing me there would have sufficed. If they are not, I believe it’s reasonable for a customer to ask. Regardless, there’s no excuse for being shouted at. It’s disappointing to be treated this way first thing in the morning. I enjoy the nasi lemak at Crave and usually look forward to visiting, but this kind of attitude spoils the entire experience. I hope the management can look into this and ensure that staff are trained to treat customers with basic courtesy and professionalism. Thank you for your attention to this matter.

A longer grain rice, presumably basmati, was used in its preparation. The rice was flavourful and had a fragrant pandan and coconut taste in every mouthful. The grains separated nicely, and the Spicy chicken cutlet is a must-try. The meat was tender and juicy, tasting much like KFC's spicy chicken. There was a generous serving of chilli, but I managed to finish it. There's a 10% discount on the total bill for completing a survey, valid the next day for a week. It's hoped the discount could be extended to at least a month, as the probability of consumers dining within the same week is much lower than within a month.

It's my second time buying from this branch. As I like my food to be hot, I requested from the staff whether they would be able to heat up or make a fresh cooked chicken and fish. Without hesitation, the female staff member agreed politely. The waiting time took less than 10 minutes for me to get the fresh cooked chicken and fish set. This kind of service is what will make customers coming back for more. Thumbs up to the staff working at Crave East Point! Thank you for the delicious food and awesome customer service.

Just had a great breakfast! The nasi lemak was absolutely delicious – perfectly cooked rice and all the right accompaniments. What really made the experience incredible was Kumar. He was very friendly and made me feel so welcome the moment I stepped into the stall. Definitely coming back again.

Staffs are friendly as always...food super nice...but the aircon there was warm or can I say I can't

Staff are friendly as always, and the food is super nice. However, the air conditioning was warm, or rather, I couldn't feel any air conditioning there. I would suggest providing more chilli, as three-quarters of the container wasn't even enough for half a packet of nasi lemak.
