The staff was very unfriendly and the cashier was slow. The staff rushed us to choose our toppings, and there weren't many options available, which made us need more time to think. Some toppings had run out, and no one bothered to refill them, leaving them empty. Then, when we picked the ones that required an additional $1, your staff kept asking, "Top up $1?" – but honestly, there weren't many choices left.

The ingredients didn’t seem very fresh to me, which dampened the overall experience. I would’ve enjoyed it a lot more if the ingredients (aside from the fish) were warm, but they were all quite cold. The egg whites were very plain and didn’t taste very nice. I wouldn’t get it again.

RUDE STAFF I ordered through GrabFood for pickup today at about 11:05 AM. I was able to key in and order what I wanted, but when I went into the store, your staff were still preparing ingredients – the store wasn't even open. When one of the male staff members at opening realised that my boyfriend and I were in the closed store waiting to pick up our order, he got angry. He immediately, in a very angry tone, said that the store hadn't opened yet. When I told him I was there for a Grab order, he got even more pissed for no reason. Like, is it my fault that your stall's terminal on Grab was open?! Despite me telling him we were there for a Grab order, he went back to preparing ingredients for a good 10 minutes before even starting to print out our order sheets to make our order. Oh, and if that wasn't enough, when he was done, he put it at the far end of the counter (we were seated nearest to the cashier, and our food was placed where you guys ask for our bases). He didn't even tell us that our order was done; he just left it there and walked off. Luckily, there was another staff member who told us it was our order, otherwise, we wouldn't have even known. I've sent a direct message pertaining to this incident to Poke Theory on Instagram. I hope they can really look into this matter, as this isn't how service staff should be treating their customers. TO ADD ON — the sushi rice was also not cooked properly; it was half hard??? UPDATE ON SERVICE RECOVERY — I messaged them on Instagram. They replied within 12 hours and offered a replacement bowl. I also explained the incident in more detail, but their reply favoured their rude employee more, adding that I should be more compassionate with F&B staff and all???? I got tired of their replies and just asked them to give me the code for the replacement bowl, but have yet to receive a reply all day…

Poke Theory offers a selection of fresh fish, with the tuna-based options being my personal favourite. The array of toppings ensures a satisfying and flavourful experience, perfect for those who find traditional salads bland. I recommend asking for sauces on the side to avoid any potential clash with the bold flavours of the poke.

Was eating my salmon bowl when I found a worm/caterpillar in the food! I had already dug through most of the meal and am just absolutely disgusted.

The downside is the price, but quite unexpectedly, the portions are packed and generous. The upside is the fresh, flavourful, and colourful ingredients with a wide mixture of textures and toppings. If you're eating in, being in a small corner of Suntec City Tower 5 offers quite chill vibes. It's a comfortable space, even if the benches are a little stiff. $5.90 gets you a good volume of refreshing sour Tropical Squeeze in a very nice, solid glass bottle. The regular-sized poke is $15.90. Unique options available include sweet potato mash, and they occasionally have seasonal specials. You can ask for additional shallots, fried garlic, and chili flakes.

Second time eating here! Poke bowls are as healthy as one can get, being nutrient-dense and full of vitamins, fibre, healthy fats, etc. But more importantly, they taste so good! The assortment of one base, seven veggies, and two main ingredients to choose from provides a flavourful meal with unique textures. Not forgetting the condiments and free sauces provided. Offering small, regular, and large portion sizes, Poke Theory is a guilt-free place to fill one’s stomach, no matter their appetite size for the day.

Dropped by during a weekday lunch and encountered a 30-minute queue. However, the fast table turnover meant finding a seat wasn’t a hassle. The whole setup is well organized and efficient. One thing to note is that the ordering process moves quickly, and you might be a few steps away from the actual station when it's your turn. This means you'll need to decide your toppings before seeing them up close, which isn't ideal if you're a first-timer. I ordered a light bowl, and it was filling.

A very premium-priced lunch for me. A regular bowl with lime, avocado, and pomegranate, which I had to pay extra for. It would be better if they were clearer in communicating which ingredients are part of the base and which are considered premium top-ups. The beetroot seemed to be on the sour side today. The fusion of different colours made this meal interesting to my sight and taste buds. I enjoyed the peace by myself as the restaurant was rather quiet at 12:10 PM on Saturday.
